Less paperwork, simpler workflows, and centralized contract management – JDS Management V5.0.0.0 makes digital contract administration even more convenient.

JDS Management V5.0.0.0 will be released on Monday, November 23, 2026. This major update expands the software with new options for digital contract management and electronic signing.

From preparing contract drafts with the assistance of JDS Business AI to signing through the Customer Portal and centrally managing signed documents, the new features are designed to help businesses make their contract processes more efficient and organized.

🤖 Create Contract Drafts with JDS Business AI

Creating a contract often begins with preparing the right document. Information needs to be collected, content needs to be written, and a suitable draft needs to be prepared.

This is where JDS Business AI comes in.

The AI assists with creating contract drafts based on the information provided. This can simplify the initial preparation process and help businesses organize the required content.

The resulting drafts can then be reviewed and further adapted to the specific use case.

This makes AI a practical assistant for preparing contracts, while the business retains control over the final content.

✍️ Sign Digitally – Through the Customer Portal or In Person

The new contract management functionality also integrates signing into JDS Management.

Two signing options are available:

1. Signing Through the JDS Management Customer Portal

Contracts can be signed digitally through the Customer Portal. This brings contract processing more closely into the digital collaboration between businesses and their customers.

The process can be organized so that contract documents do not have to be exchanged exclusively through separate communication channels.

2. Signing Together In Person

Signing contracts in person is also supported. Businesses can use the relevant functionality within JDS Management when a contract is to be signed together with the customer.

This allows the software to support different workflows, from digital collaboration to face-to-face contract completion.

📄 Manage Contracts as PDF Documents

Contract documents are provided in PDF format, ensuring a consistent and easy-to-follow presentation.

Combined with centralized administration, this creates a structured approach to managing contracts and their associated information.

The goal is to reduce unnecessary steps and keep important documents organized in one central location.

📊 Keep Track of Contract Status

When managing multiple contracts, it is important to know the current status of each document.

The new contract management functionality makes it possible to track a contract's progress. Statuses include, for example:

  • Draft: The contract is being prepared.

  • Sent: The contract has been made available for further processing or signing.

  • Signed: The signing process has been completed.

These status indicators help businesses organize ongoing contract processes and identify outstanding items more easily.

🔒 Centralized Management with Access Permissions

Contracts often contain important information about businesses and customers. This makes access control an important part of contract management.

Access to contract data and documents is intended for authorized users. This allows contract management to fit into JDS Management's existing permission-based working environment.

In addition, contract data and signatures are intended to be stored for at least ten years.

This supports the long-term management of documents and related information within the system. The applicable legal retention requirements will still depend on the specific contract type and relevant regulations.

🚀 Benefits of the New Contract Management Features

The new functionality is designed to help businesses simplify and improve their contract processes.

Key benefits include:

  • Less paperwork: Contract processes can be handled more digitally.

  • Centralized management: Contract documents and status information are managed within JDS Management.

  • Simpler workflows: AI assists with preparing contract drafts.

  • Flexible signing options: Contracts can be signed through the Customer Portal or in person.

  • Greater transparency: The status of ongoing contracts can be tracked.

  • Long-term storage: Contract data and signatures are intended to be stored for at least ten years.

Together, these capabilities represent another step toward a more connected and efficient digital business management environment.
