🎉 One Year of Joel Digitals – A Personal Look Back at Our First Fiscal Year

Exactly one year ago, a journey began that fundamentally changed my life. A journey full of ideas, challenges, sleepless nights, setbacks, successes, and countless moments that shaped me both personally and as an entrepreneur.
On July 24, 2025, Joel Digitals was founded with a clear vision: Develop digital solutions that make people's daily work easier.
Today – one year later – we look back proudly on dozens of published products, thousands of development hours, numerous updates, and many satisfied customers.
👋 A Personal Word from Me
Dear customers, dear partners, dear supporters,
when I founded Joel Digitals, I didn't know where this journey would take me. I only knew one thing: I wanted to develop software that really helps people. Software that saves companies time. Software that makes administration easier for associations. Software that makes digitization simpler. And software that everyone can use.
I have always been enthusiastic about developing new programs, modern websites, and innovative ideas. With Joel Digitals, I wanted to combine all these passions and at the same time create something that offers real added value.

Looking back, I can say: The decision to found Joel Digitals was the best decision of my life so far. Of course, not everything always went according to plan. Quite the opposite. There were days when I was close to giving up. There were weeks when seemingly nothing worked. And there were months when no customer found their way to Joel Digitals at all. Still, I never stopped believing in our vision. Today, I am incredibly grateful for that.
🚀 How It All Began
Joel Digitals emerged from a simple question: Why does digitization have to be so complicated?
Many companies work with several programs simultaneously every day. Invoices are written in one software. Appointments are managed in another. Employees communicate via different messengers. Files are stored on different platforms. And often, nothing really fits together.
This is exactly where I wanted to start. My goal was never to simply develop another piece of software. My goal was much more to create a platform that unites as many everyday tasks as possible in a single solution. Software that is clear and organized. Software that saves time. And software that is constantly evolving. This is how the idea for our biggest project came about: JDS Management.
💻 From an Idea Came JDS Management
When the first version of JDS Management was created, I couldn't have imagined what development this project would undergo within a year. Version 1.0.0.0 was comparatively small. However, it laid the foundation for everything it has become today. With every single update, new features were added. Existing areas were improved. New ideas were implemented. And numerous wishes from our customers found their way directly into the software.
Today, just twelve months later, JDS Management is already at version 4.1.0.2. This development makes me personally incredibly proud. Not just because of the version number. But because behind every single version are hundreds of hours of work, countless tests, and a lot of passion.

From a small idea, a comprehensive all-in-one platform gradually developed, supporting companies, associations, and organizations in their daily work. And that was our goal from the very beginning.
🇩🇪 Made in Germany
One point was particularly important to me from the start: All our products are developed entirely in Germany. From the first draft to the last line of code, all applications are created directly at Joel Digitals. These include, among others:

Made in Germany means far more to us than just a seal of origin. It stands for quality, reliability, short development cycles, and direct contact with our customers. Many new features even arise directly from customer requests. It is exactly this closeness that we want to maintain in the future.
📈 The First Six Months – A Time Full of Challenges
When I look back on our first fiscal year today, I don't first remember great successes or published products. I think much more of the many hours I spent alone in front of the screen, wondering whether all this work would ever pay off. The first months were anything but easy.
Although work was being done on new features almost daily and countless hours flowed into the development of our products, the desired success was initially absent. Over a long period, hardly any new customers came in. Of course, you ask yourself many questions in such moments. Was the idea good enough? Was the software already market-ready? Were we doing everything right? Especially as a founder, it is hard when you invest an incredible amount of heart and soul and the results are initially lacking.

Today I know that almost every young company goes through this phase. Success rarely happens overnight. Much more often, it is the result of patience, continuous work, and a firm belief in one's own vision. It was exactly this thought that motivated me anew every day.
💻 Thousands of Hours of Development
A large part of our first fiscal year consisted of software development. New features were developed almost daily, existing areas improved, or bugs fixed. The development of JDS Management in particular took up an enormous part of our time. While many users only see the finished versions, there is significantly more work behind every single update than one might suspect at first glance.
Often, even a small change led to new errors elsewhere. Some problems could be solved within a few minutes. Others occupied us for many hours or even several days. However, these challenges are part of software development. Every solved problem made our products better, more stable, and more reliable.
In retrospect, every single hour was well invested. Because it was exactly this continuous further development that led JDS Management from version 1.0.0.0 to today's version 4.1.0.2 within a year. I am incredibly proud of that.
🚀 The Development of JDS Management
JDS Management was the heart of Joel Digitals from the very beginning. With every new version, the software became more powerful and versatile. What originally began as management software gradually developed step by step into a comprehensive all-in-one solution for companies, associations, and organizations.
In the course of the first fiscal year, numerous new features, improvements, and complete extensions were created. Among other things, new modules were developed, existing areas completely revised, and user-friendliness continuously improved. The feedback from our users was always particularly important to us. Many features that seem self-evident today were originally brought to us as customer requests. It is exactly this collaboration that makes JDS Management the product it is today.
Version by version, software was created that not only became more comprehensive but also remained easier to use. That was and is our claim.

📦 More Than Just Software
Even though JDS Management is our biggest project, much more was created in the first fiscal year. With every new idea, Joel Digitals evolved further. New applications were added and expanded our portfolio step by step.

All applications are created entirely at Joel Digitals and are continuously further developed. We are by no means running out of ideas. Quite the opposite. Today, we are already working on numerous additional products that we will present in the coming weeks and months.
🏡 A Project Particularly Close to My Heart
Over the past year, I was able to accompany many exciting projects. One of them, however, will remain particularly memorable to me. The redesign of the official website of the municipality of Dörsdorf.
For me, this project was far more than just the development of a new website. It was a vote of confidence. Seeing that our work is appreciated and that we are allowed to maintain a website in the long term fills me with great gratitude.
Such projects show why I founded Joel Digitals. Not to sell as many products as possible. But to develop digital solutions that create real long-term value.

🌱 From Ideas Come Innovations
Anyone who knows Joel Digitals knows that we never stand still. Even while we are working on one product, the next ideas often arise. It is exactly this passion for innovation that has accompanied us since day one and is one of the most important reasons why we were able to realize so many projects within a year.
Our vision was never to develop just a single piece of software. Instead, we want to create a digital ecosystem in which different applications work together perfectly and make our customers' everyday work as easy as possible.
Every new product therefore pursues the same goal: To give people more time for what is essential and to simplify recurring tasks through modern software.
🤖 Artificial Intelligence Will Be an Important Part of Our Future
A very special project of the past year was the development of JDS Business AI. Early on, it was clear to me that artificial intelligence would change the way companies work. At the same time, it was important to me that AI must not be complicated or unclear.
With JDS Business AI, we want to provide companies with intelligent support that makes everyday work easier and helps them work faster and more efficiently. It is not about replacing people. On the contrary. Our AI is meant to support people, simplify routine tasks, and create more freedom for creative and important decisions.

The release of JDS Business AI is another significant milestone for Joel Digitals and at the same time only the beginning of an exciting development.
🔒 Security Is Becoming Increasingly Important
With increasing digitization, the importance of IT security is also growing. That is why we are particularly pleased to already be able to present the next major product with JDS Secure.
Although I don't want to reveal too many details today, I can already say that JDS Secure will help companies protect their systems even better and recognize security risks at an early stage. Especially in a time when cyberattacks are becoming more frequent, we want to contribute to a secure digital future.
For Joel Digitals, security is not an additional feature. It belongs to every single product from the very beginning.
❤️ What I Learned in the First Year
If someone were to ask me today what the most important insight from my first year as managing director is, I wouldn't have to think long.
Never give up.
There will always be setbacks. There will be mistakes. There will be moments when seemingly everything is working against you. But it is exactly these experiences that make you better. Not just as an entrepreneur. But also as a person.
Every mistake was also a new experience. Every problem brought us one step further. And every challenge made our products better.

This anniversary does not mark the end of a successful year for us. It is much more the starting signal for many more exciting projects.

After an eventful first fiscal year, the question naturally arises: What's next? The answer to that is simple. We are only at the beginning.
Even though we have already been able to publish numerous products, many more ideas are still in development. Our roadmap is already filled with exciting projects today that we will present step by step in the coming weeks and months. Our creativity knows hardly any limits in this regard. Quite the opposite. With every new project, the next ideas are already emerging.
Our goal remains unchanged: We want to support companies, associations, and organizations with modern software in making their daily work easier, faster, and more efficient.

From the first idea through design to the last line of code, all applications are created directly at Joel Digitals. Short development cycles, direct contact with our customers, and fast response times are just as important to us as regular updates and continuous improvements.
Made in Germany means responsibility to us. Responsibility towards our customers. Responsibility towards the quality of our products. And responsibility for developing software you can rely on.

When I look back on the past year today, one thing fills me above all with great gratitude. Gratitude for every single customer. Gratitude for every project. Gratitude for every recommendation. And gratitude for every challenge that has made us stronger.
